Our Simpson Heavy Duty Stud Shoes (HSS) are designed to reinforce vertical studs with notches and provide tension and compression structural resistance when wall studs have large holes drilled through them. They are typically used for plumbing waste lines up to 2-3/8" and are crafted from 16 gauge galvanized steel with flared flanges. At an impressive 50%-70% savings, they're a great value.
