With an incredible view of fields and mountains, this house in Park City was in a perfect location for serene getaways, but, having stood for around 30 years, it was definitely showing it's age. The homeowners wanted to stick around, which meant a rebuild, but they wanted to proceed responsibly. Material Resourcers to the rescue!
We were able to reclaim ridiculous amounts of lumber, siding, flooring, decor, fixtures, wiring, plumbing, cabinetry, appliances, furniture, windows and much more from this project. All of it was donated to a local non-profit organization called Recycle Utah, and was sold to help further their environmental efforts. The homeowners received a massive tax break for their donation, which saved them money on demolition (and the bottom line), plus the materials were put back to use instead of ending up in a landfill, Recycle Utah received some much needed financial input, people were helped, and several guys had good jobs on the work site. There are so many benefits to deconstruction!
In the end, the house was taken down to it's foundation, and the homeowners had a blank slate upon which to start over. And, the best part of all is that it was done responsibly!
If you are interested in responsible deconstruction and would like to discuss it's benefits in comparison to traditional demolition, give us a call! We'd be more than happy to help you understand how you can save money, save the environment, and make a difference. Call 801-478-6843 today!
